Ace of Spades

Can't say I ever really got into "The Young Ones." I did happen to see Motorhead at around this same time period (1984ish) though, at the Ontario Theatre in DC. One of the loudest shows I ever saw. My ears were still ringing two days later. Anyway, 20+ years on, it was a bit odd to hear this same tune being played during a time-out in tonight's game in the Flyers v. Penguins NHL playoff series. Not your usual intermission ditty.

I'm diggin' it, man!

We missed you at the mini-summit in NYC... Gotta make that happen one of these days.

Had I known, Jeremy. Had I known.... I'm super overdue for a trip up. I'll be sure to drop you a line.

Glad to bring some music to your day, btw.

If songs like this were usual fare during intermissions, I'd be a regular at the Sharks games! Fun clip, David.

I'm with you, Joe, though with hockey ticket prices these days, Motorhead might have to be playing live to get me out to a game.

I was a big young ones fan...can't believe that was in H.S.

It's amazing what they will use for an advertisement (let the product sell themselves), and intermission, or a cheer leading routine...

Yo LJ,

Props to you for quoting the Minutemen. Oddly enough, there was a VW car commercial running on TV a while back that was set to a Minutemen soundtrack.

Good small farm wines and independent restaurants are some of the few "market segments" out there that still follow the credo you suggest.
