Happy 20th, Homer

After 20 years and 450 espisodes, I'd be hard pressed to pick just one favorite instgallment of "The Simpsons." My favorite rendition of the Simpsons theme song? That's easy.

PS: Am I the only one who didn't know until tonight that Springfield was modeled after Portland, Oregon?

We YouTube'd Sonic Youth at the same time: Happy 10th, NYCG&F.

That's cool.

Don't know how you find the time to do it, Marcus, as I expect putting something like that together takes more than a while. Great work, though. You definitely have a feel for the interplay between the music and your photos. Those are still photos rather than video delays, yes? How many shots in total?

Thanks for the appreciation. Yes, they are photos - not stills from a video. I do that not to be perverse but because I really have no sophisticated means to execute these (I've never bought a memory card for my camera and the only software I have handy is iPhoto, which says that there are 471 photos in the slideshow (it didn't actually take me three weeks to individually count them to respond).

And thanks for the clarification on Twitter re Barmès. I see you've tasted through a lot of their stuff on your site, but here's the new Montreal new hype machine that got me to buy the Crémant vintage (marked down to $20 CDN after tax): http://busurleweb.com/2010/01/c%E2%80%99est-illegal-de-mettre-le-cremant-d%E2%80%99alsace-dans-la-neige/ ...you do montréalais français right?
