A great photo, which gives me a slightly sick feeling in the stomach. . . Once a friend gave me a home grown (is it a brocoflower?) which I washed and tried to cook - it was full of little bugs and insects and I had to throw it away. I was tempted to splice in a little garden gnome or seahorse to throw people off the trail. But you nailed it. Broccoflower it is, also known more specifically and poetically as Romanesco broccoli.
