Fun with Photos
David,A great photo, which gives me a slightly sick feeling in the stomach. . . Once a friend gave me a home grown (is it a brocoflower?) which I washed and tried to cook - it was full of little bugs and insects and I had to throw it away. I've avoided them since, though I love the look of them.
Edward,I was tempted to splice in a little garden gnome or seahorse to throw people off the trail. But you nailed it. Broccoflower it is, also known more specifically and poetically as Romanesco broccoli.Sorry to have triggered a gut wrenching memory response. You really should give it a whirl again (perhaps from a farmers market rather than a pal's back yard...), as it's actually quite tasty.
I was thinking Broccoli, didn't pick up on the cauliflower - had it from the market, and still don't like it as much as the broccoli or the cauliflower...
