This one goes out to an old friend.... John Coltrane, performing "Naima" with McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones and Jimmy Garrison. Recorded while I was in the womb, it remains -- and always will be -- beautifully visceral music.

have you ever tasted De Conciliis Naima? It's pretty good... I always love McDuff's Food and Wine Trail... keeping it so real man... and reminding me to remember the very good things in life...
Thanks as always for your comment and the kind words, Jeremy. I haven't run across the De Conciliis wine but would be open to trying *almost* anything made in homage to Trane.
I know these YouTube/video posts can come off as lazy filler, but I could have written volumes about this. Instead, I let a few words -- just a few -- and several minutes of music speak for me. We'll see what sprouts up from it... only time will tell.
On a Philly note, ever listen to Harrison Ridley, Jr. on a Sunday night? Sorry he's gone, it was my favorite radio show. His collection seemed so comprehensive for older jazz, I couldn't appreciate the breadth, only the music. Great music and he let his occasional guests do the talking.
Word verification: exossess, shouldn't been minimalist.
