It's snowing.
I'm hibernating.
Anyone care to guess what wine's on deck for tonight?

  2. You tell me, Bill. Test those memory banks. I do have reason to believe you've tried the wine that this cork belongs to (or at least one closely related to it) in the past.

  5. Don't you mean wallpaper, Tom? Got a great price and just couldn't pass it up. Looks really great in the wine cellar.

  8. My educated guess is that it's the 08 Mon Cher OR the 08 Gamay.

  11. Nope, look again mate. That there cork's from a bottle of red wine. As for food, nothing that would give any clear clue. A zesty pasta dish with chicken meatballs on D1; pizza on D2. Worked just fine with both.

  15. Well done, gentlemen. Bill and Hans, you're both correct. I should add that Jason Adams of Brooklyn, NY guessed correctly almost immediately, though he posted his answer on Fbook rather than here.

And anon, I like your way of thinking and only wish Noella and or Joe D. were sending me samples!

Notes and my own pic of the lovely Ms. Morantin coming soon....

  16. I'm sure I can rustle up something good, Jason, but you'll have to come to Philly to claim it.
