I'm glad you enjoyed the article.

For whatever reason, Keller's importer in this part of the country -- Petit Pois -- never brings in the Spatburgunder, so I'm jealous. Any chance you could send a bottle or two???David McDuffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03274955351036700406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017457764988110566.post-23975589627986058942008-05-10T10:25:00.000-04:002008-05-10T10:25:00.000-04:00Hi Mcduff, Good stuff here. Is that ok?

We just unpacked a container yesterday that included our miniscule allocations of the 2006 Hubacker Riesling and 2005 Burgel Spatburgunder. Happy times.

Thanks

DamienCandid Wineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10004144860253718093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017457764988110566.post-49248521537419597722008-02-13T22:07:00.000-05:002008-02-13T22:07:00.000-05:00Do you mean the Hubacker Grosses Gewachs, Joe, the...Do you mean the Hubacker Grosses Gewachs, Joe, the one with the gothic looking, burnished orange label? If so, snatch it up. The '03 might be a little atypical because of the richness associated with the vintage but it should be drinking great right about now (not to mention another five years down the road).

For that matter, any of the Hubacker wines are more than worthwhile. If they're on sale and appear to have been handled well, they'll give good return on the investment.David McDuffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03274955351036700406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017457764988110566.post-86508404121713146052008-02-13T18:52:00.000-05:002008-02-13T18:52:00.000-05:00You yeasty comments on the Riesling are identical ...You yeasty comments on the Riesling are identical to those in my 2004 - cool.
